Greeting, Salam sejahtera and welcome to our official website Department of Labour Sarawak.

I am pleased to announce that our official website have just made an interface makeover and with this new makeover it will be more convenient for public to browse and gain information related to the labour issues in the state of Sarawak.

The target audience of this website can be categorised into five according to the main services we offer. These five categories are:

(i.) Employee;
(ii.) Employer;
(iii.) Persons With Disabilities;
(iv.) Job Seekers; as well as
(v.) Private Employment Agencies.


Visitors may explore information related to department's services such as:

(i.) Labour case and complaints; 
(ii.) Application for Private Employment Agency Licence; 
(iii.) Application to employ non-resident employee; 
(iv.) Application for permit under Sarawak Labour Ordinance; 
(v.) Inspection of work places; 
(vi.)  Submission of retrenchment report;
(vii.) Workers compensation claim; 
(viii.) Employment services (JobsMalaysia); 
(ix.) Business Incentive Assistance Scheme for Disable Person (SBGP-OKU); 
(x.) Sistem Penempatan OKU (SPOKU); and 
(xi.) Other services offered with hope to enhance our department capability in delivering service efficiently to public. 

 The Department of LAbour Sarawak is also enforcing Minimum Wages Order 2012 (MWO) which has already come into effect on 1st of January 2013 and the Minimum Retirement Age Act 2012 (MRA) which has already come into effect on 1st of July, 2013. Members of the public not only can get to know the provisions of these Acts through our official website but also access to information on the Department's activities related to these legislations.

The ease of dissemination and sharing of information at the client's fingertips via this website will enhance the public's to understanding of labour matters. This initiative is an intergral part of the Goverment's commitment in its efforts to provide service of the highest quality.

In line with this commitment, our website will always be updated and public should have access to regular updates in Department of Labour Sarawak activities.
